Working with schools often means receiving many orders from many different people at the same time. This time, I was corralling all of the student clubs at St. Francis High School through the order process. This meant creating artwork proofs for all of the screenprinting, submitting the artwork for approval from students and administration, and putting a system in place to take orders and process payment.
For this project, I designed and set up a web store where all the club members could place and and pay for their orders. This involved writing up and pricing out all of the item listings and creating SKU numbers to track inventory.
In the end I set up nearly 50 clubs for purchasing. The students and their parents could then access the site and place their orders on any device at any time and pay. I completely eliminated the need for administrator involvement and the web store also made processing orders on the company side very easy as well.
The web store layout was simple and easy to set up. I used a 3rd party platform for the back end and customized the theme with the school logo, colors, and a photo slider of images of the school. The bright, clean design made the shirts the star of the show and made it very easy for students to identify their shirts and place their orders.
